Our algorithm is proprietary and so we do not share actual formulas
Division Bonus - Structured points system based on which division a team is in
Win % - Points awarded based on team win %
Home/Away Wins & Losses - Points awarded for home and away wins and points subtracted for home
and away losses
Opp SOS - Points awarded based on the overall win percentages of all the teams played. High Opp SOS means
more points than a lower Opp SOS. We use actual records and not a set .500 win % for out of state teams
Point, goal, run, set differential - Points awarded based on differential. Capped at certain number so that
there is a level playing field.
QW - A quality win is based on if the opponent beaten has a win % of .600 or higher. Points awarded for
each QW. We also award points for wins over a higher ranked team
OOS - Points are awarded to teams who play out of state opponents. Each OOS game earns points. An
OOS win earns additional points
Playoffs - Points are awarded to a team that makes the playoffs. Additional points are added for a
playoff win. We repeat for each additional round a team advances to. We added a modifier
based on Division to keep teams from having inflated points
